This qualification covers the application of nursing skills and knowledge required to be eligible for enrolment with state/territory nursing and midwifery regulatory authorities.
 

A total of 26 competency units are required to be completed, they are:

  •  Contribute to client assessment and developing nursing care plans (HLTEN503A)
  •  Implement and evaluate a plan of nursing care (HLTEN504A)
  •  Contribute to the complex nursing care of clients (HLTEN505A)
  •  Apply principles of wound management in the clinical environment (HLTEN506A)
  •  Administer and monitor medications in the work environment (HLTEN507A)
  •  Apply reflective practice, critical thinking and analysis in health (HLTEN508A)
  •  Implement and monitor nursing care for consumers with mental health conditions (HLTEN510A)
  •  Implement and monitor nursing care for clients with acute health problems (HLTEN512A)

Graduates from this course can apply for a one-year credit of the Bachelor in Nursing
